    His metabolism and need for energy replenishment is so high that he needs a constant supply of food to burn through, and since he obviously doesn't need to worry about his physical health due to all of this running, he can afford to eat plenty of junk food, especially chili dogs.

    i'm pretty sure there was an episode of sonic underground where manic put sonic's shoes on or something and was able to go super fast but there were consequences and i think it was this? so yeah sonic's stamina is commendable
