Nintendo is disintegrating, dissolving. The only thing that's keeping it alive are children and nostalgia.

If you got your Wii U when it was relatively new why would you have nostalgia for it?

>dominates Japanese market >only company with a decent handheld I know it may be difficult for your Americentric mind to wrap around, but Nintendo's primary market actually ISN'T the United States👌👌

If you bought a Wii U, then you're helping to keep them alive by supporting what turned out to be a failed product decision.

Games are what makes it nostalgic not the console, and I bought when they announced Zelda= nostalgic. Ataru M. Actually the US is one of the mayor consumers in not the first on the video game industry. So like, fords sell more in the us? Or in japan? Refer to my original post.

I don't know about Ford, but I know that GM sells more in China lol👌👌👌 But that's unrelated. Although yes the United States is a major market, it is not Nintendo's primary market. Nintendo is not an American company. Sales in the US don't matter nearly as much to them as sales in Japan. And in Japan, Nintendo is still pulls a significant market share👌👌👌

While china has domestic cars, they are plain copies of other companies. So China is not a fair comparison. If your primary market is not the one that made the majority of your millions during the Wii then where is it? If you say Japan then it means they have to take on smartphones and globally they are over handhelds, untouched.

No. They're literally GM manufactured cars that are sold in China. Because China has literally become that large of a market👌 You forget though, people in Japan still primarily use flip phones. They don't have this same "smart phone culture" that the majority of the West does, thus minimizing a potential source of competition.

Let me spin this your way since where are already derailed. Even if Japan is the primary market, it still aimed at children. Children don't have $400 to shell out, children and nostalgia is what making Nintendo still relevant.

Nintendo appeals to the family demographic, by far the largest demographic out there, and the one most likely to buy entry level consoles like the Switch. Don't get me wrong, both Sony and Microsoft are definitely larger corporations; all I'm trying to get across is that Nintendo's continued financial success is a much more complex issue than "children and nostalgia."👌

In regards to the issue of "Chinese car[s]," although there are very few dedicated Chinese automobile manufacturers out there, most cars that you buy will end up having about 90% of their constituent parts manufactured in either China or Mexico, with these constituent parts being assembled in the United States so they can slap the label "MADE IN USA" on it. Thanks bulk gaining industry model👌

Family demographic sure. Especially on their own website they marketed Pokémon for toddlers. That's the marketing right there. Continued success. Was it the Wii?
