How can I make a strong but stretchy polymer?

I need to know how to make a strong but stretchy polymer that I can make at home. Please let me know I really need to find out for an experiment I'm doing and I couldn't find much,so let me know if you know how.

    Glycerine, water and Corn starch If i can remember correctly. Boil the mixture till bubbling and then set it on wax paper and let dry i think..Thats a good polymer

    @Cecil thanks!It wasn't exactly what I was looking but it should help my research @Raymar polymer is a substance that has a molecular structure consisting chiefly or entirely of a large number or similar units bonded together.
