    A Legitimate Hoopa can't be traded over the GTS; you'd need to perform a Link Trade.

    That doesn't mean it's a legitimate one. Hoopa are only supposed to be available through events, and any Pokemon obtained through an event will have a special ribbon that prevents it from being traded over the GTS or Wondertrade. Since you got one over the GTS, that means that it's not a "real" Hoopa. But, if you don't care for the legality of it, than consider the point of this conversation moot.
