With Chemical Plant Zone revealed for Sonic-Mania with brand new Chemical based gimmicks, It surprisingly had ideas I was gonna uses for a original stage I was making. (Sorta like a sequel to Chemical Plant Zone.)

    The inspiration for it came from the repulsion gel from Portal. Imaging different colored gels effecting Sonic. Blue for speed, Yellow for higher jump, Red for slowing down, Green for Reverse controls, etc.

    The background was gonna be like a mix of both Aperture Science's Laboratorys, Toxic Seahorse's stage from Megaman X3 & the fanmade "Egg Factory" I saw for Generations.

    On Topic of Sonic Mania, I love how they took the original Chemical Plant Zone & combined it with Metallic Madness from SonicCD & Burstman's stage from Megaman7. Gives of a Chemical testing & research facility instead of a industrial pollution factor. (Save that for the ACTUAL Eggman badnik factory themed level like Scrap Brain Zone or Metropolis zone.)

    I know. Feel a strange mixture of pride & shame. On the one hand: I blame the "Bubsy is gonna be in Sonic forces" meme for causing this. "You could've prevented this!!!" On the other hand, Bubsy COULD redeem himself. He had over a decade to learn what went wrong & hopefully fixed many of the problems. If Bubsy does that, Then maybe… JUST MAYBE, He'll actually get the respect he deserves.
