Question

I'm restarting Pokémon Moon!

Question: Does it matter what starter you pick if you're not planning on sticking with it? I want to train up a different Pokémon to represent the head of my party for the whole game. I don't think it matters but does what starter you choose alter any gameplay? Thanks!

    No not really, the only thing it will affect is Gladion's Silvally's typing when u battle him at Victory Road

    It doesn't matter what starter you pick. The only things that will be affected by it is Hau's starter, Gladion's Silvally, and Kukui's fully evolved starter.
