BD is good but... OVERRATED by journalist and j-rpg fans. Story is SO cliché and the battle system is too (brave & default just hiding classic turn by turn system). That is a big disappointment.

    It never pretends not to be turn based. The 'brave' and 'default' system allows players to store turns or use turns in advance, it adds another tactical element to combat. Otherwise it is classic FF.

    the strategic is very limited indeed... and, like you said, it is classic FF, but too much classic. It could have really been a very good game if square take more risk hire a real writer for the story

    I understand and i like old-school material too. I don't say that he is a bad writer but we already ALL knows that kind of scenario. There is no surprises, no magic, that what is disapointing.

    Have been playing the game for around 20h. I used to be a big Rpg fan. Gotta admit i dont really understand why everyone is THAT excited abiut this game. It s good but very very cliche so far.

    maybe because there is no "others" real old-school "good" j-rpg on the market... that is clearly difficult to understand. Otherwise, beautiful graphics and music really saved that game.

    The term overrated is overrated. People like what people like. Quality is *never* objective, so a game's quality cannot be over or under stated. I didn't care for the story either, but that's opinion.
