    not really. If you complete certain tasks (like all jobs mastered for each person) you receive goodies, which will be transferred at the full game to give you a head start (potions, basic equipment)

    No, it's a standalone side-story with no relations whatsoever with the full game's story. You can however transfer small bonuses, depending on how much you've accomplished in the demo.
