    I know that healing spells are effective on undead enemies, but the thought didn't occur to me that it'd negatively affect things like Life Thief. :p

    Well you should be glad coz' it could be worst. In the old FF, using life stealing abilities on undeads not only dammage you but also heal the undeads.....in BD, both you and the foes got dammages.
