In grid mode all mini games have a clear score match or beat that score on every game (all 213 of them) it marks with a flower the ones you've beat. you must play them in normal mode to unlock in grid

Keep beating the normal game they are all unlocked after beating either set characters or a certain number of them, boss mode and easy pig mode are also obtained this way by beating wario.

Final note should anyone be interested all my high scores for the 213 grid mode games & the other mini games can all be found in one post in my activity feed. beating this 100% is a good challenge!

ALL VC games DO HAVE restore points or the option to create them anyway! you could get a score of say 10 make restore point die on 11 start from restore point & beat 11 create restore & go forever.
