All of the reviews from people who have played the beta of Sonic Boom has said it is really bad. Sonic retro says that the game tries to be two things at once, a brawler and a speeder just like Sonic Unleashed. They say that unless you are a huge fan of Unleasged, a young child who doesn't know what a 'real' Sonic game is or you like any Sonic game, you shouldn't give your money for it. (CIC)

  • (Sorry, I meant to say: all of the reviews that I have seen) Projared says that if you are really curious about the game then you should just rent it. If you like it from when you have rented it, then you decide if you want to pay for it. I know I won't get it unless I get to play a demo and REALLY enjoy it.

  • Yeah, everything I've heard so far has been really negative so I'm not holding out much hope for this. I'm still annoyed the 3DS is getting a 2D game like the Generations port since the best part about Lost World 3DS for me where the open sections.

  • Yeah, the open areas were also nice for speed runs >_<

  • Well Sega does seem to be pretty lazy recently. A prime example is the creativity of the bosses in lost world.

  • Eh, I liked their designs. It's gameplay design for that game that bugged me. Once I finished the game, I didn't want to go back at all to replay any of the levels since all I could remember was frustration a lot of the time. It often felt cramped and not at all spacious.

  • Creative boss designs are a big thing for me. After smacking the fingers off Kyodai Eggman Robot, subdueing Metal Sonic KAI and giving Egg Dragoon a new parallel attack it is probably just hard to impress me with boss designs.
