    Smikey > this is purely with restore points! You'll be doing an authentic run, which is beyond comparison! This actually took me so long to get through. Started it when it came to Wii U. Too many games to play...

    While I don't use restore points (except occasionally to capture screens) it's still an achievement to beat the game. the restore points are there & likely to stay on future consoles so they should be considered legitimate for use in games. If we had them back in the 80's almost everyone would have been using them every other minute.

    I kind of see them as modern conventions added to old games. I'd rather see people use them than give up on a game but for me I scale back on them heavily after the first run. I kind of set myself goals after I've powered through a game once. Second time round I might restrict how many I use, for example. They certainly have allowed me to enjoy more of the content in VC games than on the Wii!
