    in my opinion castlevania 3 is harder than 1 because the items are weeker and i had some problems in this game. I think you are a very good in this game by saying that.

    not really, because they've balanced out the platforming side of things, but the difficulty is still there, like megaman 2 to no.1

    Yeah it is, though it's longer. However, the hard mode loop 'second quest' is ridiculously hard.

    Its 20 years since I played this and it seemed easier. That could just be my skills had improved over the years. Especially difficult I found was beating Dracula in game 1. Again, it could be novice skils. I don't even recall the Dracula fights in other versions.
