    havnt played the game, but can you throw a bomb at it or eat one of the blocks?? lol im probably stating the obvious arnt i?? aha

    Before you get there, when you're in the "front" part of that level, there's a rocket launcher that you can use to destroy that stone block. You can't hit the block directly, but you can make the rocket strike on the floor to the block's left side, very close to it, and the explosion will destroy it.
