And there, in the clockwork tower I thought: "I have finally understood!" "Now it all becomes clearer by the second. Like cogs upon cogs and wheels within wheels, I see my purpose within the grand scheme. The great architect, and the worlds beyond. The Demiurge, and the father and the son." But now as I lie broken, my lifeblood running away, I can only say this: I have not understood...

  • But were you truly a part of a machine, wouldn't that existence appear to you as the complete universe? The machine that we would be restricted to must govern all and more than we can comprehend, otherwise it would not restrict us.

  • Restrictions apply, even while not inexorable or absolute. Sometimes I caught glimpses of the real world beyond like sunbeams passing through clouds, or the leafs of trees. Sometimes I saw flaws in the system, small details that the architect had overlooked. Once, I was even able to converse with the Demiurge itself, through one of it's lieutenants.

  • But as I have grown older I have come to the conclusion that I have not understood any of this. All that I have seen and done, was it all part of the plan? Even the acts of outside agents, were they really from beyond the artifice, or were they as well parts of the architect's scheme? Was there really ever a world beyond, a world not constructed by lies and machinations?

  • All this I cannot tell anymore. Maybe only the Demiurge itself knows? Maybe even his archons and shadowkings are themselves kept in the dark, if they even truly exist? What truly exist and what is just lies? Of this I do not know. All the world makes great blood, and what we perceive as radiant light aiding us, is just another flavour of darkness, blinding us, binding us.

  • The line between reality and fabrication is indeed nearly impossible to draw, if not impossible. A good friend once said "a zucchini is a zucchini", which seems to herald the promise of a perceiveable reality, albeit building itself on the human perception itself. Would it be sound to accept our input in making our own realities while unavoidably shaping it to look like our own reflection?

  • Or should we pursue an objectively real world that would manifest itself with or without our part of realizing it, and unfold in front of our eyes? The machination being a product of will suffers the same doubt as any creation, lie or honest of nature. Unless the demiurge himself is an objective reality that can expand through itself into justifying itself.

  • If that is not the case, your reality is as good as the machination.

  • Ok, this was a highly interesting and abstract conversation, so I read it out loud to my friend - practicing my articulation. Great! But I don't get it all. Anyway, thumbs up...♪
