Can someone explain to me what a nuzlock actually is? I've heard that word mentioned across multiple games but no idea what it means.

    Nuzlocke runs were invented by a pokemon player called nuzlocke, and it involves treating every death/faint as permanent, so your characters are retired when they die. it also sometimes means no healing items and no grinding levels. the rules vary.

    As s FE nuzlocker myself: A nuzlocke is basically just an FE run with special rules, such as playing on harder difficulties, no resetting when a character dies, no grinding, etc.

    And Paul beats me to it... But yeah think a typical classic run made harder by self imposed challenges. Additionally most (but not all) players use the Hard!Classic difficulty for it (we have had someone do normal though and someone do Lunatic). They're typically a lot of fun though as I'm sure most nuzlocke players would agree. Plus it's a nice way to interact with the community and make friends

    Cool. Thanks for explaining it everyone! Hmmm, FE nuzlock sounds intriguing. May have to try it some time (been a bit of an FE noob and usually play on hard/casual mode). lol
