    Of course. There are many references to PlatinumGames and Hideki Kamiya's previous games, like Viewtiful Joe, Okami, MadWorld, the Resident Evil series, and, of course, Devil May Cry. Besides, there are some references to films and anime - pretty much every secret weapon's name refers to either one of those.

    Ah, now that you mention it, I remember Rodin saying: "No matter how many times you ask, I'm not putting a chainsaw on your arm." Clever reference to MadWorld made me smile. ^^ Yeah, DMC is there for sure, the whole "anti-hero with an even 'antier' rival" thing. Durga is very reminiscent of DMC3's Agni and Rudra. Etc. Where exactly are Okami and Viewtiful Joe references? Maybe I already forgot...
