Am I the only one who wants a sequel to this game at some point? I just feel that there's so much more that could be done with these characters and this world and besides, games that 'save' franchises normally get [direct] sequels. ...And okay, I'll admit, I want more Chrom...and more of my Avatar if it's a possibility. =/

  • It probably won't get one, because of all possible pairings. The shipping wars are bad enough as they are, imagine how bad it would be if some pairings were confirmed to be canon.

  • That's why there should be a system which allows you to put in the pairings that you want in the game and to also recreate an Avatar from this game if you want to but for first time players or for people who've played this game and want new/different pairings, there could be a system for that too.

  • I know it may be a bit too complex however, it's just an idea that allows for a sequel and keeps (almost) everybody happy especially people like me who like Chrom with my particular Avatar but that's my selfish reason for wanting a system like that in a sequel. =D

  • Nah, I reckon a system like that would actually make sense. Nah: hey, I never said it wouldn't! No, I meant... ugh... I was talking to Lightlife, ok? Nah: Oh. Ok. *flies away* (That was weird) Anyway, it would help make it feel like a sequel, as it's following on from your own personal playthrough. alsosoicanstillbewithlucina

  • I hope Nah is okay... I've just spoke with Nowi, she said her daughter is used to causing confusion. Ahh...Lucina, I can see why you like the idea. The only difficulty I could see with the system is if new characters are introduced and you find yourself wanting to S Support with someone else but I don't think that's a problem for you and me. =D I'll stick with Chrom.

  • It wouldn't be so complex actually: Just give the players an option to copy the supports and let newcomers start blank. If you'd like to marry a new character simply start a new file. Also the only things I don't like about Fire Emblem: If so far are that I fear the customization feature might be gone, that it will be to game cards instead of one and - most importantly - that Tharja won't return-›

  • which means that I'd trade my soul for an Awakening sequel with such a system.

  • Huh, I didn't know that people would be so fond of the idea and I guess it wouldn't be too complex to pull off either. Maybe we should all stay hopeful. =D

  • A sequeel as I imagine it wouldn't add up with the characters' descriptions of their further lifes shown aftter the last chapter though... I still hope the developers wouldn't care about that and would just produce one since such small details are not of enough importance to keep a game potentially as good as Awakening from the consumers. Also I believe it might sell well.

  • In all fairness, Awakening was supposed to be the last game in the series so they wrote those thinking there wouldn't be another game. There are a couple that I can solve, the sequel could reveal where Lucina went and if the game was made to reveal more about the Avatar's past- it could be a story that was lost to history...

  • ...which explains why the historians knew little of the Avatar's past and their personality. I don't want it to become a series of games within a series (although, admittedly that'd be cool), I just think it'd be good to have a game that ties up loose ends and celebrates the 'saviour' of Fire Emblem.

  • I'd die of happiness to see more of Thaja and the rest of Awakening's universe no matter how exactly they'd produce it.

RANDOMLY THOUGHT OF PLOT POINT TODAY. It turns out your Avatar was married before they lost their memories, so one day their previous wife/husband turns up and DRAMA ENSUES. Yeah, only really a minor side point, but oh well.

  • Oh wow, I had that exact same thought the other day but I thought it'd be too cruel...it'd still be awesome to use though. =D

  • The people behind Fire Emblem should really make a sequel. If they're lacking ideas, we've come up with a few good ones. =D

  • I like the idea of a wife/husband returning from the past by itself, but it wouldn't fit Fire Emblem so well in my opinion, since the romance system is actually designed to give the player a feeling of freedom and this idea wouldn't just ruin that, but also the mood the system creates. Also the story is to be focused in a Fire Emblem game, and such an event would be a too big secondary issue.

  • I'd love the developers using their fans' ideas. Partly because a game with the elements we gathered under your comments would definitely be one of my favourites.

  • ...Rather than actually having married you, it could lead to interesting conversations between the Avatar, their actual partner and their 'fake' partner or something like that.
