    This jump bar ISN'T present on the original Donut Plains 3 in Super Mario Kart!

    That explains it... it would've been super difficult, if not impossible, to get across without falling in without the jump pad. I actually like this addition to the GBA port of this track.

    You can jump over the water with L or R, in the original.
