    It might be Inari or just a "regular" kitsune. In the Inkopolis Plaza there's also a tanuki, another shapeshifting animal yokai according to japanese folklore. Kitsune and tanuki are often portrayed as rivals. It makes sense in a game featuring 2 rival teams of shapeshifting squids competing against each other. :)
