So If is the new ‘Stroke Your Comrades' Faces’ simulator? .. Why? How? I mean, I'm not complaining, but ... what? I barely understand Japanese, so I have no idea what they were saying in the trailer. Is it to increase your relationship with them? Do you just invite them to your room to stroke their face? Is it limited to non-family members only? Because I want to poke Leon's face. I'm so confused.

  • There's a translated video on youtube, check it out. But yeah you have to invite them there and literally touch their faces... It's kind of creepy xD Dunno about siblings, that would be even creepier! I mean like "hi brother, I'm just gonna touch your face a little, stay right there" xD

  • Oh sweet, I'll have a look at it later. Thanks! ^^ But wow that's strange. And I suppose it would be even creepier if it was a family member, but Leon's adorable. I'll stop now xD When it first showed the face-touchy thing, I thought it was an S support because of the bubbles and sparkles. But then the face-touching started and I was very confused xD

  • Haha yeah I love Leon too, but he's a no no for the face touch thingie xD I have no idea what they were thinking with this, sure it works for pokemon but people? It's gonna feel so weird! xD

  • Like, I can kind of understand the maid girl letting the MU touch her face, but then it showed that other old blonde dude with the eyebrows getting his face touched and I started giggling xD

  • Don't question the mighty Japan...

  • Because let's face it; Japan makes a lot of awesome things. Even if they're sometimes... questionable.

  • Japanese culture is just so different from western culture. It's really easy to see something from Japan as absurd and strange when it could be completely normal there.

  • Sure, Japanese culture might be different, but I am positive that stroking the faces of the other soldiers in your army is not an everyday thing there either :P Having Pokémon-Amie in Fire Emblem is not exactly an idea I would have ever come up with myself... but if it's fun, then by all means, I'm all for it!

  • If you think Japanese culture weird (let's face it, who doesn't?), think how weird western culture is to them!

  • ...In all honesty, I doubt this has anything to do with Japanese culture. Let me quote a woman (living in Japan most of the time?): "If you think of these things as weird then consider that they are just as weird for Japanese people." Or in short: Not Japanese culture, but Fanservice.

  • Also, I read a theory about the countries worshipping dragons (again) and that this would be considered some kind of "holy ritual". ...If I manage to be considered a deity, I'll probably introduce this ritual as well.

I think it is so they officially can change the name from Fire Emblem to Waifu/Husbando Simulator

  • ...Well, as it isn't even confirmed that marriage will be in If, I wouldn't say that.

  • If marriage comes back, I'm jumping on the Tsubaki and/or Orochi bandwagon. Although that grey-haired guy from the touchy-everybody's-face trailer looked good, too. (I can't remember if he had a name/what his name is so don't shoot me pls)

  • Wait, I think it was Joker. Apparently he's ‘unsociable, and finds it hard to talk to anyone other than the avatar’, according to the wiki. Yep, jumping on dat Joker bandwagon.
