    Do you mean the little yellow striped and dotted pieces? They're from real life, and they help blind people with guide sticks. they stick the tip along the striped ones to walk down them safely, and the dotted ones tell blind people there's a road or other reason to stop. They're common in Japan and other places, so they got included in the game.
