    Microsoft bought Minecraft to stop it getting onto any Nintendo platforms. As they know it would do really well if it was on the Wii U/3DS.

    Microsoft don't put their products on other companys devices. From a financial standpoint it makes sense to put it onto Wii U and 3DS.
