Vi is sorta a robot I guess. He's a computer AI like Cortana from Halo is, he glowes a forest green and is designed to be a defense wall against viruses, hence the name Vi. But he got so overran(?) by viruses that he glitches up a lot, he rarely leaves Samus' side.
