Yeah! I think about half my downtime has gone to Meowth and the other half to Ampharos (with the occasional Buneary when I'm tired). Giratina Lv. 100 has required a lot of intensive Meowth grinding too. I find that my Fighter gets the crown about half the time, so it's probably 2/3 of the total you've worked out. But it's far more than I thought, even so!

Part of the reason I've spent so much time on Meowth is that when I've had 90,000+ coins I've been more tempted to spend them. The first two new sets of main levels got me down to about 15,000 and then there's the competitions... But I know I don't need to spend so much on main levels; I did the last 10 on limited coins. I just need to resist buying Great Ball as they're not worth it usually.

Hmm. Oh, I see. I was trying to work out where your figures come from, so the 10 is EXP assuming Fighter gets the crown 25% of the time, right? And the 90 is how many times the base EXP required of 65/70... But which Pokemon are you counting? I can only assume the 70 is Lucario and the 65s are three of the base 60s. But then what?

Ah! It's the coin total I'd have made, assuming an average return of 350, isn't it. The first two equations result in number of hearts to get that Pokemon to MAX on Meowth, then you multiply that by 350 for the coin total.

Then you take the 2385 total and divide by 48 hearts a day to come up with just under 50 days. Right. Heh, yeah, it's a lot isn't it! Except... it's more than that. The Fighters I've MAXed on Meowth are Lucario, Mienshao, Sawk, Throh, Gurdurr. So it's actually *4, not *3! But I've also used them on other levels... so it'd be impossible to work out accurately.

So 65*90:10*4 = 2340. 2340+630 = 2970. 2970*~350 = 1,039,500. And 2970:48 = 61.875 days. Even more wow! Obviously it'll be a bit less than that, with the other levels...

I was trying to work out Toshin's maths. That confused me too! But as you can see, I've worked it out. Technically it's 70*96 EXP, not 70*90, to get a base 70 to MAX, and likewise 65*96 for a base 60 poke. But never mind that.

Yeah, i skipped level 3-4. Lucario: one of the starters, strong, first competition mega, 70% exp. comes from main stages, exp. grind, no real use. Others: 8%, gang of weaklings, not worth training. 70*96*0.3/12=168 65*96*0.88/12*4=1913.6 168+1913.6*~438=911740 You should claim that 350 is a low average, it makes a huge difference.

Yes, it is a low average. I keep meaning to track my Meowth scores but can never be bothered. But I'm getting a LOT of 530s these days, so 350 is more like my average on a bad day.

I've mainly just been training who I feel like, starting with the strongest ones. But when I MAXed out Lucario, I wasn't going to let the EXP go to waste so I swapped him out for Mienshao. Since all my Megas except Venusaur are MAXed I was only training 3 at Ampharos, so I'm trying not to use all my best unMAXed pokes at once. For example if I'm using Mewtwo to train Psychics I don't need to bring

Grind Ampharos. Take a strong Mega (really, any Mega that's not Normal-type) and it can carry a medium-strength team.
