    Sure it is a valid way. But in my opinion there is no other strategy that can compete with it. So either you go with the mines or you lose. That's what bothers me, because it becomes boring really quickly.

    Yeah, i have to admit it. You plant a mine on the tower right before you die and when the others jump on they almost always die. I started to use it because of that.
