    I'd change the class and exchange Renewal for Sol. I'm not quite sure about Lifetaker, but it's not too bad... Otherwise it looks good! :)

    I dunno about Counter: General has good Defense so you won't take much damage, thus so won't the opponent either. Mages most likely won't attack close, so Counter is negated. You're much better off with Aegis or Vengeance than Counter in my opinion.
