    I know but theres only so many times you can get stabbed before you realise it might not be worth it anymore.

    Well it helps that in most of the timeline splits he's only been defeated twice, so it's not like it's happened that many times to him. He's been defeated more times than that in the downfall timeline, but he seems to have become a raging beast after the oracle games, so I doubt he's thinking clearly. That and he get's reincarnated in FSA (presumably with no memories of his past life).
