Best 8-Bit Mega Man game. The engine is finally kink-free and the assist weapons are awesome. I also think that this game has the funnest Castle Stages. 8-)

    Worst and easiest Wily bosses, forgetable music, over reliance on spikes for level design and ring man's stage is especially tedious. 2 and 3 are way better! :P

    2 is arguable. 3, NO WAY! That game has so many problems. Horrible level design and you can't freaking pause the game when there are any of your shots on screen.

    4 has the worst level design in the entire 8 bit series! Though I will say one of 3's end game levels was terrible if you ran out of rush jet.

    I've been doing a marathon of the series with 3 friends who didn't grow up with the games, they all absolutely hated 4 too, I thought our marathon would have to end had I not boosted morale as I did

    What is so horrible about the levels? For example, Skull Man's stage is amazing, imho. And I really like the addition of the mega buster. And your friends didn't complain about MM 1?

    MM1 is a great game, it is a little rough around the edges, but the level design was good and the music extremely catchy. If I had an order of preference it'd probably be 2,3,9,10,1,5,4. Not played 6.
