I wish my parents gave me more independence, I have to go where they go and I'm not allowed anywhere by myself even though i'm nearly 15

I love animals as well. In fact, when I'm at a zoo, I'm practically an extrovert. Anyway, I reccomend keeping an eye out for other Animal Crossing fans. That game may be one of your "switches".

I see animals as being extremely intelligent, take my dog for example, it can't speak or understand English yet it understands me perfectly and when I point to somewhere it will look in that direction

Some animal species get pretty clever. Dogs, cats, wolves, dolphins, racoons, octopi, whales, hyenas, rats, and great apes are only scratching the surface of intelligent life.
