It just hit me that it makes a lot of sense for Lon'qu to be Inigo's dad. First, that way not only mother will be shy, but father too, greatly increasing the chance that son (who will most likely learn from father's example) will also have issues. Second, the only weapon Inigo is able to wield efficiently when he joins is sword, which happened to be Lon'qu's weapon of choice.

Can you say that Virion is canon, because Inigo is basically Virion Jr.?

To Boris That's a really weird reason – developers definitely couldn't predict people's complaining, because, again, that's not an official data, but the results of the game being hacked and looked inside. Also, what's so different between FE4 and FE13 marriage systems in this regard? Both have characters fall in love with some faster than the others. Duh. And far from all such pairings are canon.

So, you're saying developers should be excused for putting stupid and broken features, just because they couldn't see the future? I guess games like Bubsy 3D, Action 52 and E.T. are actually masterpieces, because the dev. didn't know people would hate those games and they should be excused for it.

To Rebecca Well, personally, I'm not interested in shipping and such. However, finding these little things that may (or may not) point to "the truth" is itself pretty fun. To Paul Except not really – the reason for his womanizing habits is explained in his Supports. There is a reason why in the end he drops them altogether, married or not.

I think I'll agree to disagree with you regarding canonical parentage. I personally think the pairings with fastest growth are the most canonical but then if you disagree then that's fine. It's just a game after all ^-^

What "broken features" are you talking about? Avatar having higher Support with someone? Well, that's rich.

Rebecca, maybe I would've agreed... but some of this pairings make absolutely no sense (Ricken and Panne, seriously?)

@Method Today nearly everything can get hacked, the older FEs got hacked and so did Awakening. From the very beginning it was clear that the game would get hacked. And then again, why did they make faster supports if they're not supposed to be canon? My main point was that just because faster supports in FE 4 aren't canon that doesn't have to mean that they are also not canon in FE 13.

Well, if you're going to tackle my reasonings then I might as well do the same. Both are shy. Gynophobia =/= being shy. Shy parents = shy child. Where did you get this info? Inigo can only use swords. This can be applied to anyone... Chrom, Gregor, Avi. Same crit line. He also mentions dancing. Virion is a dancer. Look at Virion's support with Olivia.

@Method Personally I really liked their supports, I found them to be very cute plus Ricken got some nice growth from it. I'd probably do it anyway since I don't really care for optimization. Still why should we base one games rules on a previous game. If that was the case we'd have 3 supports max. Awakening has different support rules to other games, it can't be compared as easily.

Yeah, I sure. However, it doesn't mean they ARE canon, too – they did it before, they may do it again. That's what I'm talking about. Also, it would be pretty stupid, if people would start accusing developers of something because of illegal game exploration.

Who said I was talking about Awakening when talking about broken or bad features?! What part of my post mentioned Awakening?! Ricken is popular with cute animals, according to the Roster. Panne can transform into an animal.

It doesn't mean that it is canon but it's the closest thing that we can get to canon pairings. Chrom×Sumia share a lot of cutscenes together and Sumia is even depicted as Chrom's wife in the opening and Sumia×Chrom is among the fast pairings indicating that the rest of the pairings are also "canon". Of course you don't have to do any of these pairings nor do I want you to do so.

To Paul All right, arguments! It all-but-said... actually, it's even said during some supports, that Lon'qu doesn't fear women, he is afraid of approaching and associating with them. It doesn't mean he is terrified of females in general - he has no problems with Nowi (because she doesn't look like a WOMAN) and during the Furure Past DLC he may say that he has no problems with his daughter.

Next, kids do not inherit parents' traits just because they're blood-related. They tend to subconsciously copy their behaviour, and sometimes issues. The game even says as much about Inigo and Olivia. Swords are not a definite proof... by itself. Oh, and "That's your last dance" is being said because he is a dancer. And it was Olivia, who taught him to dance. Virion is interesting possibility thou

Because he doesn't want to become friends with them due to fear that they will be killed like his childhood friend. This srill does not make him shy. Did you know that Olivia and Inigo say that they are sorry as their crit lines in the Japanese version? "No hard feelings" was probably translated from that. This'll be my last post here. I have better things to do. :/

Paul, I really have no idea what broken features you are talking about and why you ever wrote this all of a sudden. Boris, I have no questions about Sumia and Chrom. There's plenty of proof in-game to support this. However, that does not mean ALL pairings with quickest growths are canon. If we continue this FE4 analogue, Lewyn/Fee had them and were indeed confirmed as canon, but Finn/Tiltyu...

Yeah, I know. I've never said that they are all canon, that's why I used the word indicating and I was specifically talking about FE13 and not FE4, I've never played that game so I can't say anything about that.

Oh, alright then. Also, you definitely should play FE4. It's, hands-down, THE best Fire Emblem game. Dark story with (seriously) one of the best plot-twists in video games history, gameplay, which differs noticeably from classic FE style, but stays awesome, great main villain, you name it. There won't be another game like that, 'cause nowadays ESRB will chew devs alive for an in(est in plot.
