    Not really... he's far more selfless. FAR more selfless. Though he's a bit of a jerk to anyone save for Lucina, Laurent, Yarne and Noire. In my immediate recollection.

    I just used Severa as she was the first example that camed to mind. I just meant he is less "uptight" and jerky than it appears to be on the outside. I noticed... Maybe he just respects their efforts/sympathize for their situation, who knows.

    Or perhaps he just respects those that I listed enough to try for them? I mean, that comes across as a distant ally. Like Piccolo in DBZ. He's not all hot air and has some significant skill to back it up.

    That's my point. He aknowledge their ability and the fact they are, indeed, giving our all for the army. For Yarne, he can sympathize (I guess because of his dear Minerva --> He knows the meaning of "going extinct") while for Noire... I don't know actually. Maybe he just feel bad for her, considering her childhood and how gloomy and helpless she feels, so he TRIES to not poke her too much.

    I THINK he's actually intimidated by one of her snaps. My memory of whether or not it happened is as foggy as the Avatar's at the beginning of the game...
