  • You're doing very well so far, indeed. I heard good things about SM!Gaius but never actually used him as one, mind to show me his stats? (I'll be disappointed if he's your best unit, though. That place is reserved for MU+family)

  • here he is. first he was a thief (LV17) then a myrmiddon (LV18) then a swordmaster (LV 15) and now he is currently a assasin. his DEF/RES are low. but he has extraordinary speed and good strength. (he needed less LV ups then morgan to reach this amount of speed) of course, morgam and chrom are yet stronger. gaius is min third strongest unit now.

  • his wife is panne. but i may give a other wife next time. she does give descent STAT boost, but i think other wives are better. (i wasn`t going to train yarren)

  • Thanks for the info. He turned out pretty good, I'll try using him sometime.

  • he`s better then lonqu or gregor IMO. both my gregor and lon`qu sucks. i may have trained them from or had bad luck with status growth. in-battle he`s like a myrmiddon (dodge-tank) and the lockpick skill is nice too.

  • Lon'qu sucked because you didn't change his class to Wyvern(iirc), he likes that class as soon as you're done with Plegia arc. Gregor is pretty solid, though. Good bases and class with mostly good growth (Spd is a problem) so he can be decent. However I'm rather using him as drop-in father(Instant promotion to Hero→Level 5 for Sol and then I passed it down to Laurent).

  • By the way, I'm not saying Gregor and Lon'qu>Gaius, just that those 2 are okay/decent too.

  • his speed sucks, even when i turned him in a swordmaster he still has weak speed. all the other STAT are good though, and soll is a blessing for childs. i turned lonqu in a trickster (after he becomed a thief) his speed is great, but he has very low STR. thanks for telling my now lonqu is better with wyvern, i will keep that in mind im my future playthrough.

  • ps. here`s lonqu. he makes a good dad for morgan.

  • Trickster!Lon'qu has only a 45% Str growth, but that's not Lon'qu's fault. The class itself has actually a higher Mag than Str growth so it's nothing for him. Wrt Gregor: He starts with 12 Spd, I changed his class to Myrm immediately so +3 Spd, then I trained him to Lv 10 in chapter 10, that's 20 Spd on average. Add a tonic and you got 22 UN–paired Speed in chapter 11 where most enemies have↓

  • 13-18 Spd (he doubles the Merc with pair-up, though). I think you either got RNG-screwed or didn't invest enough into him.

  • trickster has higher MAG-growth then STR-growth?!?! o_O okay, i really gonna remember that good. i think i goth RNG-screwed on gregor since judging other poeple, he schould have better stat. i think i spend more time using second seals on him in the future. thanks. :)

  • In fact, out of all promoted classes, which have access to physic weapons, Trickster has the lowest Strength. The only promoted classes that have even worse strength are Sage, Sorceror and Valkyrie and those are purely magic. Yeah, the class is pretty underwhelming imo.

  • thinking `bout it. anna had higher MAG then strength... thanks for the info on the classes anyways.

  • A little tidbit I found out about wife and husband boosts. The A- and S-Rank stat boosts are the same, so if two units team up at A-Rank and aren't married, I think there's not that much of a difference with an actual couple.

  • i think it a S-rank gives VERY slightly higher daul gaurd/attack rate. not much though. S-rank is mainly there for children.

  • S over A gives +5 hit and something like +4% Dual Guard. However the main factor is the +10% Dual Strike rate. Say, we have a 70% DS with A, that's a 49% chance to strike to DS constantly. Now we buff it up to 80% with S, what do we have now? 64% to get 2 consecutive DS, that's a +30% increase in reliability (no I didn't miscalculate, the math is correct). Of course, also kids.

  • *49% chance to strike 2 DS consecutively, not constantly. Sorry for the typo.
