It makes a huge difference. 4 points per 3-match per level (and more for bigger matches and during a combo) really adds up. Spend a day on Ampharos and it should be done. As they're Ground types it'll be really quick and easy, too, which is why I only trained one Ground type at a time.

Yeah! I messed up yesterday. I had a great start, Mewtwo evolved in 3 turns, but I tried too hard to avoid matching coins myself. I ended up not getting a combo several times as a result and only got 4,900. That's really poor. I just want to break the 10,000 barrier without Mega Start, as I saw three people do that last week!

Mostafa: Damage Streak is actually x1.2, x1.44, x1.72, x2. (I think.) It's actually 1.2^n where n=1 to 3, then 2 from 4 onwards. It's guaranteed on a 4+-match but only about 50% on a 3-match. This is why it's pointless to try for the x2 boost at the start - to guarantee it you'd need to set up four separate 4-matches, waiting for the pieces to stop each time.
