Keep in mind that there's only two options for it, a guy on the Nohr path and a girl on the Hoshido path. Still it's better than nothing and I have a feeling that it might be more in the game after Fates, it feels like they're just testing it this time.

Yeah, Shara (Tharja lookalike) is the one who both males and females can marry on the Hoshido path. So if anyone ever wanted to pair their female avatar with Tharja, nows the chance!
