since when was steel weak to electric??!?!!! (on manetric stage)

  • Since the game arbitrarily decided it was. What did you think the reason would be?! Genius Sonority just decided "These types are weak/strong against those types" etc. and that's what we ended up with! If in doubt, just look for the arrows for double or half damage.

  • Steel moves were always (since II Generation, when Steel type was introduced) not very effective against Electric type, but Electric moves aren't super effective against Steel Pokémon. They have normal effect. It's nothing weird. They're more similar examples, Ice type moves are super effective against Grass type, but Grass type moves are normal effective against Ice etc.

  • Genius Sonority usually doesn't change type chart. Only no effect is changed to not very effective, because of it works better with this type of gameplay. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Type/Type_chart
