I'm struggling to complete Level 90, the mega Mauville stage. I have many super effective Pokemon but I cannot stand those disruptions and I don't have enough coins to buy items. And I've bought them when I had enough: 5+ moves, Disruption delays, Mega Starts. It helped to the point where I almost made it but I ran out of moves and no jewels! What do I do?!

Ok, well if you can give me a bit of time, when I do the Sunday Meowth for coins today I'll go check the Mauwille stage out again, as it was a long time ago that I played it and don't remember much of it, but I'll play it, see what Pokémon are good etc, and try to give you some ideas after that. I'll comment back on this post when I can ok? Don't forget to play the Meowth stage today for coins!

I used Sableye (a Dark type one I can mega evolve), 2 fire types (Charmander and Torchic) and a Ground type one (Phanpy).

Ok Lj, I've had a look at the stage for you and played it a few times. It's pretty tricky I remember now with all the disruptions, etc. I checked to see what Pokémon you'll likely have as my optimised team will be different to yours as I'm further on in the game. I'd maybe try a team of Vulpix, Riolu, and Phanpy, as they can all deal greater damage if their abilities trigger. With regards to.....

...the Mega evo, you ideally want one that will trigger as quickly as possible firstly, and one where the ability will be useful. I'd recommend Mega Lucario first, I don't know if you have it? If not, Mega Slowbro might be good as it can remove the barrier disruptions in the stage and it doesn't take too long to mega evolve. If not that, then I don't think it matters which other mega you choose...

..Next, I'd try to level up your team to at least level 5, that can be done quite quickly. You can pick up quite a lot of EXP from the Buneary stage (stage 21), or alternatively the Meowth stage (stage 37), although I think Buneary gives more EXP. With the items, if you're having lots of trouble completing this, I'd use Moves + 5, Mega Start, Disruption Delay, even Complexity - 1 if you have to...

You can get an opportunity to match either 3, 4 or 5 coins in the stage, giving you totals as follows: 3=100 coins, 4=300 coins, and 5=500 coins. You also get 30 coins for completing the stage. ...coins, you won't get them unless you complete the stage. The best strategy is to try to line the coins up on the right hand side of the board. Try to remove Pokémon on the right hand side to allow the coins to line up in the bottom right hand corner, then move the coin on the left hand corner across to make a match. Like I said, this takes practice. I can only manage lining up 4 coins.

Wow, you're doing really well super_ham. :) I'm trying to S rank all the first main stages right now, I have 5 left to do. I still have loads of expert Pokémon to catch though and those to S rank. It's going to take a while I think, lol!
