Chapter 2 will be a nightmare on Lunatic, won't it?

  • @Yarumi Why do you think so?

  • I got Ulster from the logbook. Really useful... either way, try and get your weaker units, particularly Miriel a level up or two by ganging up on some enemies.

  • Boris- I'm not the best at this game. I may have to find a good strategy on the internet, even though I'm against that... The early chapters are always the hardest.

  • @Boris Well, I usually train Avatars until I don't have resources (seals) to train them, and you're getting more EXP in the chapters on Lunatic, but it's not as hard as L+.

  • Quick questions, did you use the water trick? And what is MU's Def?

  • Don't be annoyed/ashamed if you have to do that. Many people needed the Internet in order to proceed and most people still rage-quitted. The game also doesn't do a good job at preparing the player for Lunatic since the difficulty gap between Hard and Normal isn't by far as drastic as between Hard and Lunatic. The game seriously needs a Maniac mode between Hard and Lunatic.

  • What's the water trick? MU's Defence is 8 but he gets +5 from Frederick.

  • @Boris Imo, they should make Hard more... hard.

  • @Yarumi Sorry, but I don't see your point. You're going to cap the Level before getting a reliable seal regardless of the mode. It's just far easier to do it on Normal than on Lunatic. Just compare a Normal mode speedrun with a Lunatic one, both end with a stat capped Avatar but Normal mode is much faster.

  • @Boris Probably. It's just my personal opinion.

  • @Zaid Yeah, that's also a option. But I fear that the jump between Normal and Hard could be too big in that case. http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=52170 The strategy in the prolouge is the so called water trick. Your Avatar is really underleveled/RNG screwed btw. He should be at Level 8-10 and around 11 Def would be acceptable.

  • Level 8-10 at Chapter 2?

  • That's the Power of Veteran, the best in-game skill. Just read the link and you'll understand. It's a guide for Lunatic+ mode but the strategy works on regular Lunatic too.

  • Well I can't access links from the Wii U so I'll find the page. But I assume I just get MU to finish off enemies? Maybe I should start over.

  • With that strategy it's possible to get all the kills in the Prolouge bar one Myrmidon and a Mage to the Avatar. That makes him usually strong enough to "solo" Chapter 1 on a Fort and paired up with Frederick and as a result, the Avatar will be Level 8-10 at the beginning of chapter 2.

  • I wonder what a non-Avatar Lunatic/+ run would be like... not as though I'll ever dare to try it, however.

  • So, they can walk on water? Why? Anyway yes I have to start over. What asset/flaw do you recommend? I previously had +Def -Luck.

  • I personally prefer Spd, but I've heard Def is way better.

  • +Def makes the game less headache inducing, +SPD gives the best early-game offense but +Def is probably the better choice in your case. Either -Lck or -Skl. I prefer -Skill since it still allows me to use AT and I don't have to worry about early-game crits. -Skl also doesn't affect hit rates in the long run.

  • Boris- Is AT, Armsthrift? (Just yeah if it is, no need to reply) anyway thanks for the advice. I need to restart my file now because I can't progress.
