Yeah I should rework this part, it shouldn't be Yoshi only.

Great design! Reminds me of Mario 3's tank stages in World 8.

I thought that overall it was a great level. It showcases just about everything that makes you great as a level creator. Just the couple issues that I mentioned before and one other thing. I beat him properly, but it could be so easy to just skip past the final Bowser battle. Seems to me like if the player beats the game without Bowser getting defeated, it would lack proper closure.
01/07/2016 11:49 AM ·Spoilers
For example, in mine, I took great care to ensure that the player can have an intense final battle and that Bowser will 100% of the time die onscreen at the end. Of course, the finality of his death is integral to my story, but even if yours does not require such a thing, I still feel like the last battle needs to be seen through to the end even if it is finished with a star like your 4-4.

@Brian the problem with forced battles is that some likes fighting (like me) and others not. So, to not frustrate anyone everyone can choose what to do. I made bombs at the end that you can lit and then the Castle explode&crumble above Bowser to make sure he stays down. The issues will be fixed in the next version :)

Explosive finish to a fantastic series! Everything in these levels is spot on; puzzles, bosses, difficulty, use of Yoshi, characters, story, even placement of checkpoints. It's very cool that Yoshi has such a big part to play in the series [as opposed to just being an extra life.] Certainly going to check out your new series...And replay this one.

@Tomas congratulations to beating Bowser and saving Kingdom! I followed all your comments until now and is was just awesome to read them. You started this series and played it completely and that is absolutely great! I'm very happy that my little series is worth a replay and for all your compliments I thank you really much ^_^ Let us see if the other series is to your liking as well!

So... I'm making toad adventures 2-4 and I'm quite running out of ideas how to create it. Tricky, please put some tips
02/04/2016 4:50 PM ·Spoilers
@Super Boy! Mhhh you want an idea? Well my tip would be simple but practical. Just take your time. Don't think to hard what you should make. Want to hear something funny? Aft*er 1-4 I had no idea left. That happens all the time. I think I have done everything there is to do.
02/04/2016 4:53 PM ·Spoilers
And one or two days later there comes an idea and I just have to do it. Yes, I don't plan anything every level came from a single thought. If you feeling down just relax and something will come from alone. Trust me :)
02/04/2016 7:17 PM ·Spoilers
I'm with Tricky. I always keep a small sketchbook in my front pocket. When I'm running dry on ideas, I just go out and take a walk. I simply clear my head for a bit then start thinking about my overall goals for my game, the story I want to tell and the direction I want to take. Then, I suddenly start getting ideas.
02/04/2016 7:21 PM ·Spoilers
Often, I will start by coming up with ideas for titles of stages that will indicate the story direction. I don't worry about making titles for each individual stage at this point of the brainstorming process. I might write a title, think of roughly where it should go in the game then keep thinking till I get another idea. Then, I'll start building ideas for level design which works with the title.
02/04/2016 7:23 PM ·Spoilers
That's just my process. Either way, don't try to force it. Just make levels when you are feeling inspired. Otherwise, what you'll end up with will be an empty shell compared to what you should really be capable of.
02/04/2016 7:32 PM ·Spoilers
@Brian thank you ^_^ I'm not very good in instruction. I build and thats it. My Girlfriend said yesterday: "Sometimes you look so focused and then some gibberish comes from you as if you not thinking of anything making you Stages." Not to mention my happy reaction if I see anything cool in levels *cough* If you want a honest opinion of myself as a Maker: I'm crazy. Don't ask me what I do because
02/04/2016 7:34 PM ·Spoilers
I just do stuff^^; I'm not as great as anybody think. So Brian pretty much said anything ^_^ Time will show where to lead your Story and levels and I will await them with much joy.
02/04/2016 8:54 PM ·Spoilers
Haha, that's funny. Sounds like me when I'm painting or playing Smash Bros. I get so focused that I'm incapable of expressing a coherent thought. However, if I try to do anything on Mario Maker or paint while not inspired, I just sit there for a while, and what comes out is usually a steaming pile of rubbish.

Bravo! Brilliant series! Excellent every time through! Felt like a proper Mario game!
02/11/2016 2:14 AM ·Spoilers
Seriously awesome! It was a completely different experience playing it through this time with the comments on. Everything really clicks into place well. I particularly loved the journey through Underwhere. The stage leading up to it, 6-2 I think, might have been my favorite of the whole series particularly because of the verticle underwater room where the coral was used as the whole background.
