I heard about the changes of my favorite weapon, the Charge Blade in MHX, and I don't like that much. Maybe I'll wait for MH5, especially when MHX doesn't have a good post end-game.

    Sephy, I also play with DB and start a bit with Hammer. I tried all other weapons too. For me nothing beats the Charge Blade.

    Hold A for charge, release. Press X+A for shield thrust. Fill Phials. X+A for shield thrust. X+A for super slam. Deny super slam with R1 to power charge your shield. Hold A, release, X+A to shield thrust to fill in the Phials. Fill Phials. X+A for shield thrust. X+A for super slam. Deny super slam by pulling control pad back+X to make it into fast charged slam. Repeat.

    There are 2 guard points in this combo. 1 right after I morph from axe to sword & shield by pressing R1. Second, Press X, then X+R1 right after. Third, from sword & shield press X & R1. Little windows. I don't use this often.

    when there's time then I often use the shield bash with the charged shield after the main attack, it's a fast follow-up attack.
