  • Let me give you some tips. Yes Japanese player do sometimes lag more due to the long distance, but let me advice you on gear. get rid of the ninja squid, the jr. has so little that you have to overwhelm your opponent, they won't see you coming anyways. that gives you more speed already. Check out Nintendome on youtube for ability videos and stuff.

  • Nintendome had a video on inksaver sub, so didge that and use inksaver main. Damage up might be useful depending on your playstyle and might just help you get those just in reach kills. Lastly just keep playing and enjoy I used to suck, but made my way up to S rank. You can do it too! ;)

  • Why do you think Ninja Squid is bad? I felt like this is helping me quite a bit, to be honest.

  • Oh, and I just saw I had Splattershot Jr. equipped, havent really played with it though, was just trying out different weapons. Most often I used Aerospray RG, but guess that also has a range problem.

  • Ninja squid isn't bad, but with weapons that have such close range you should flank and be fast, ninja squid takes away some speed and you are forced to use even more swim speed up, but if you like it you should use it. Try the 52 maybe, it has a lot of power good firerate, but a bit of a learning curve with the splash wall. Damage up and ink saver main are recommended.

  • I used the aerospray a lot too, bit in higher ranks you will need that extra range. the closed thing you will come across is a sploosh and it will probably beat you, using the tentatek splattershot gives you a bit more range and sunction bomb and inkzooka is a good set

  • If you're Level 15 and you're playing a Ranked Battle, I recommend you the Blaster, for Turf War, the Sloshing Machine. Blaster has small range, but once you're close to someone, One-hit kill. Sloshing Machine spins so some ink can go on the floor, and it does 12p.

  • Thanks guys, your advice is highly appreciated. Unfortunately I somehow managed to mess up my save file (tried moving data to external usb, but something went wrong with that), so I need to start from level 1 again. :(

  • Haha, to be honest I dont even mind that much. I enjoy playing, not just leveling up. In an RPG it would have been more frustrating after hours and hours of playing.

  • miss my equipment, though. Invested 24 sea snails and a lot of money rerolling, to get nice gear. And from now on I use a USB stick and make safety copies regularly.
