    You're a tad overlevelled, actually, so you should be fine. Level 40 is the enough to clear all the chapter 3 bosses.

    So 60 is also too high for the 4th chapter? And here I thought I needed to grind (Then again I have no idea what I am doing half the time in this game)

    60 is probably a good level for the very end of the fourth chapter, as one of the sidequests can be really nasty if you're not strong enough, but 50 should carry you through most of it. In the tactics menu, you can turn EXP gain off for a while if you don't want to become too overlevelled.
