Is it me or does the new small 3ds seem better than the new xl. Coloured buttons and faceplates and a matte finish seems a better machine

    Same here, not to mention it's loads easier to carry around wherever you go. It fits easily in your pocket, so when you have a few minutes to spare, like waiting for a train or bus, you can open it up and start playing. The cover plate idea is also really nice; they could also release limited edition cover plates, too, just like the limited edition XLs, without getting a new system.

    The bigger screen is where it's at. SNES coloured buttons and faceplates are just a gimmick and the XL fits easily in my pocket. Get better pockets!
