  THE GAME Balloon Fight like many games from the Nes Era will is largely a high score chasers only game. Of course those that have little interest in high scores can still play it but most are unlikely to return once the novelty has worn off a little. Firstly the game features 2 modes as Balloon fight which can be played by one or 2 players.

  In this mode you must kill all the balloon men To do this you must pop their balloon and then hit their safety parachute or when they land on the ground hit them again to finish them off. That might some a little on the harsh side but they are just as intent on doing the same thing to you. You'll start with 2 balloons while all the enemy only get 1. Lose both your balloons and you'll lose a life.

  Away from the enemy trying to pop your balloon's a giant fish lurks in the water and will eat anyone who gets too close (you or the foxes) And the background clouds will eventually become bored of your taking time on a level and fire out a lighting bolt that will instantly kill you on touch regardless of your balloon status!

  If you go down the 2 player route the game plays exactly the same way with the same number of enemy and all. The only difference is you can either work together or go for glory and try and pop each others balloons as well as the enemy. (Note even if you are working together you can still pop each others balloons accidental or otherwise there is no option to stop it from happening)

  In the games other mode Balloon Trip (single player only) you'll head across the screen from right to left trying to rack up as many points as possible. Unlike the Nintendo Land version there are no breaks or landing spots you just continue until you die. Get too close to the water and you'll be eaten by the fish. Hit the lighting and it's also game over.

  POSITIVES Will still offer occasional fun for the high score chasers Classic Arcade style 2 player option (that will almost certainly always end in war even when it started as a team affair)

  ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT Controls aren't the best in the world. High scores posted on miiverse are almost exclusively redundant due to game restores.

  THE SCORE 5/10 The fact restore points are available in every Vc game ruin the communities of not all high score games. Of course playing purely for yourself you'll know your best score and if you cheated to get there. But if you want to compare that skill against others on Miiverse you might as well forget it.
