Who else wants a HD remake of this already perfect game for Wii U?! It's never gonna happen, right?

  • ...Because an HD remake of a game that is only 2 years old is necessary...? I'd rather have an HD remake of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.

  • Because this game outsold all other Fire emblem titles (if I remember correctly), having it on Wii U will only be beneficial. This game has a good rep, it'll sell on Wii U, no doubt.

  • But it's unnecessary. People can easily pick up a 3DS, or a cheap 2DS, and just pick up the game. It's not like the game is rare either. Just because it has a good rep and sold well doesn't mean it needs a HD "remake" or port. Look at Pokemon: sells way better than FE:A and has a better rep, yet it still stays on handhelds (and will stay on handhelds, according to GameFreak).

  • Multi still isn't a bad thing. Granted, Arkham ciry armoured edition and the likes is a tad too much, but it's still nice to have the game available for multiple platforms. Fire emblem is not pokemon in terms of sales, but not many games are. My point is that this game is so good that it deserves another release. Guess I'm just looking for an excuse to buy it again.

  • Also, my bad. I think "port" and not "remake" would have been the better choice of words.

  • But if FE:A stays on the 3DS, then the 3DS will shine a bit more. People with a Wii U may think "Hey, I wanna play this game so I guess I'll buy a 3DS. Oh, this 3DS game looks great too! And that one too!" which boosts sales, especially with Smash out now.

  • It'll do fine, it has pokemon and such. Wii U is in more trouble in comparison, but with MK8 and Smash, it'll more than survive. Still, I see your point.

  • They will not make it also because it would be unwise based on sales: 3DS is the most sold Nintendo platform while WIIU doesn't hold a candle. For a dev company who just saved itself from bankrupt, to release on the least sold system seems... a stupid move? @Paul THAT'S ME! XD I had to save for one year to buy me a 3DS expecially for FE:A! Until this Christmas I only had FE:A and Shovel Knight as

  • my only 3DS games. ...As for the porting/remake, IS ruled that out. For now, the best they have done is do the BARE MINIMUM required work and port to Virtual Console the 2 West-released FEs. I think they released Sacred Stones this week.

  • That's what I meant with the last sentence in the original post. It'd be a gamble, yes, but I think it has more selling power than that megami tensei crossover (which I've heard very little about). Outside Japan, at least. It's more of a "Wouldn't it be cool if", low chance of it happening. I'm glad with what we got.

  • Wouldn't it just be better to make a sequel to awakening for the 3DS or Wii U?

  • Not a direct sequel, especially with that tightly knotted ending. A new entry, sure. It's bound to happen at one point.

  • I sure hope so!
