So I've just played FE Sacred Stones and thought that I should fight against Lyon's team. The line kind of contradicts with the ending, doesn't it? Maybe a part from Formatiis' soul remained in Lyon or this is just DK!Lyon or maybe I've misread something at the end. I don't know it exactly.

    Einherjar cards are mystical cards that summon phantoms of ancient warriors for them to fight again. They most likely summon them from a specific point in their lives hence why you can have both Prince Marth AND King Marth. At a guess, this specific card would summon Lyon's spirit from before it'd contradict anything.

    Makes sense. However his recruitment line is a bit strange in that case. He said something like I will always stay by your side, which indicates that this is the normal Lyon.

    Odd, though perhaps it's seen as a threat against someone who would threaten any close friends or that you may have purged any evil by accepting/defeating him? I'm no expert. Just guessing.

    @Boris I never actually stopped thinking too much at this... It is odd indeed. Probably yes, or maybe you can see it like this: the fact he esitated before the "destroy you" part, means he doesn't want to (which makes sense with the good Lyon personality) but feels compelled to do so. ...It's like he's convincing himself. So that he wouldn't weaver.

    @Jasper I wish that the developer would have done something similar with Awakening. Path one where you sacrifice Emmeryn and number 2 where you have to regain the Fire Emblem.

    @Angel Could be true but it's strange that he acts completely normal when you recruit him. Maybe I can find some special DLC conversations in the Internet and find out more about his personality, I'm curious now.

    @Boris Which kind of route you took in SS? If you took Ephraim and challenged Lyon w/ him in the Final Chapter there should be an interesting dialogue if I remember correctly. Not sure anymore. ...I think most spotpass rolls that way. Remember that they used the same phrase if you defeat-recruit them or just pay them to join... Never heard his DLC dialogues. Will check.

    @Angel I took Eirika's and I've already spoilered myself about that conversation. I read some DLC convos, seems like he isn't quite DK!Lyon but also not like the normal one he's still possesed, though. Walhart even said that he gets controlled by darkness.

    @Boris Just tried that too, looked at the Libra's one. Hironically is true, is... kind off character, but... I dunno. Maybe they wanted him to be good but also remind fans of his possessed self. Didn't even know of Walhart's line.
