Hey! Listen! I've founded a very good way to fight with a pirate! Look at this.....

I also thought about that but I chose a katana instead. I would've needed a skill slot for making her sword level S that I can use for other skills now and I have weapons that do a lot more damage than a bloodblade. (And my other characters don't use swords either^^)

Okay, but I'm able to deal 9999 damage points, with a bloodblade and a katana, using "dark bane"! Then, I rarely use Bravely Second, so...

So you have double wield on her? I don't know the amount of damage my Edea normally dealt anymore but I'm pretty sure she reached 9999 with counters. Without boni.

As a dark night : double weild, sword mag. amp., blood ability up (attacks that absorb hp deal more damages) and ... errr... gloom, if I remember well. Or "BP up", as you want!

Then, as a pirate with one big weapon, like earthbreaker, you can deal 9999 without increasing your attack... If you do like I show at the very beginning of this topic!

What's her second job command as a Dark Knight? But with Amped Strike then, right?

Whatever you want. It can be merchant's skills, or magic sword, or vampirism, as you want. But you must at least be able to use "drain" magic sword (bloodblade or job command). Anyway. Your pirate should be able to ddeal great damages with amped strike, yes, but also with counter attacks. In that case, your attack'll increase with "adversity" support ability! Useful, isn't it?

I really like the merchant's job command, because of the low leverage and "pay to play"! It can be useful against a big nemesis.

Yup, interesting strategy! Though adversity wouldn't help me with my set-up since I usually have a Performer who boosts everyone's stats to the max. I don't like it that much but I don't like jobs who need money for their skills in general. The only useful skill from merchant I can think of is low leverage but I don't necessarily need that. I can put most of the bosses to sleep and prevent them

from attacking this way. (Except the really strong nemeses of course but you need a special strategy for them anyway^^)

A nemesis cannot be poisoned, or fall asleep, etc. That's one of the reasons they're better than any other bosses.

All of them? I thought that was only the case with the really strong ones but I might remember it wrong...

Yes, all of them, i'm sure of that. I've already tried with most of them...

Oh, okay then. Well, as I said most of the really tough ones require a special strategy anyway. Satan for example.

One of the nemeses. Completely physical attacks but wow, he can hit really hard! I fought his Lvl 50 version with Lvl 70 and thought it'd be easy... was dead by the third turn^^ He has Revenge and as soon as he has 3 BP he'll attack four times: 1. Shippujinrai-like attack 2. Group-attack with moderate damage 3. Group-attack that always takes half of your entire HP 4. Group-attack with damage
