Any ideas for what I should get next for Henry? I'm thinking Counter + Vengeance... Is that good?

  • You could very well do a Gamble + Focus + Vantage + Anathema + Wrath w/ a Max crit forged Ruin tome for ultra-crittin'. Probably you would need all those, but still I reckon it would be fun. Vengeance + Wrath works fine too. If you want Counter, go with Tomebreaker as well and you'll become a living fortress, w/ Nosferatu in hands.

  • If you're going to grind Henry through some classes to collect skills then he will end up with high to capped stats, which means that he will dodge a good bunch of attacks, furthermore enemys prefer to attack at 2-range. If he gets hit, he won't take much damage and thus Counter won't do much, besides the damage that you inflict with it isn't important because Vengeance boosts the damage already↓

  • and Dual Strikes will overkill the enemy. Counter just pretends to be useful in this scenario but in fact it makes things even worse: The damage that you inflict with Counter isn't healing you like a Nosferatu attack would do, equipping Counter will reduce the healing and will rarely be necessary to kill something.

  • Ah... So Counter isn't useful, then? :3 Henry's quite an important character in this playthrough, hence the fact that he married Elfairy. Although Gamble has the chance to increase critical hit chances by 20%, it's not a lot, and besides even if it does benefit to Henry's naturally high skill, Henry also has high defence, which means when his stats are capped, he won't take much damage anyway,so

  • wouldn't it be a bit, you know, hard to activate? I guess that's the best way to use Henry's skills. There's also Dread Fighter but I'm not interested in that route, even though I have that DLC pack,

  • Vengeance isn't always useful, in this scenario it probably won't do much either, though you can leave it where it is if you can't find 5 skills that are all better. Btw there is nearly no reason to not grab Aggressor from Dread Fighter, it's like one of the best support skills, if not the best, in the game.

  • Henry has Aggressor on my first file but I'm not really sure what Atk +10 does... :l

  • I am a cyberman or something..? Atk +10 goes for both Str and Mag-based attacks. Str+weapon might+boosts=Atk

  • The Atk stat is the combination of your Str/Mag with the weapons might and other boosts. Your Atk-enemys Def=Damage +10 Atk per strike is basically +10 damage, Aggressor works only in your phase, however it's still great. When Henry attacks twice= +20 damage When he uses Brave weapons= +40 damage When he's the support unit AND has Braves= up to +80 damage
