  • Asset/Flaw matter a lot btw. What is yours?

  • flaw= luck asset= speed without speed as asset, enemies will start hiting you twice. and that`s annoying. XD

  • +Spd is very good, probably 2nd best αfter Def. I'm not sure about -Lck since that makes AT useless. The only enemies that should be able to double the Avatar are the Myrmidons in the prolouge. A +Spd Avatar should never get doubled. +Spd is more for early doubling (and thus offense) and dodging than not getting doubled.

  • main profile (the one i show on my profile) aset == skill flaw == luck

  • i think i pick sometime else then asset= speed. because frederick beats up the first 2 myrmiddons, and since my avatar level ups quite much, she (hopefully) has decent speed to avoid being doubled.

  • Don't get me wrong +Spd is pretty good, if you're not using that, make sure that the Avatar has 8 Spd at the end of the prolouge (the Merc in chapter 1 have 13 Spd and Fred gives +1 Spd). Other than that you shouldn't have problems to avoid getting doubled. +Def would be the alternative if you don't want +Spd. Most common Flaw is -Skl btw.

  • is luch really THAT important? since CRIT. hits are still there even with decent luck. and skills that really matters (eg. sol) are based on skill.

  • It does matter a lot if you're going for AT (which you should). Basically it saves a lot of money and your weapons have all +50 uses αfter a while (my Avatar in my current file is using the same Killer weapons all the time). Later you can forge a Brave weapon and use only that one and that breaks all enemies. -Skl doesn't hurt when you're a Hero because they have super high skill anyway.

  • All Fire Emblems I played were hard in the first half and incredibly easy in the last levels, because I probably train my characters. Does this game have that problem?

    Yeahs0
  • kinda, (i`m playing on the hardest difficulty, so that may be the cause.) after a certain chapter (chapter 4-5?) more options open up, like random-generated maps with enemies you can grind on and also shops and promote of change your units class. unless you grind ALOT. the game becomes VERY easy in the end. otherwise it still keeps being challanging.

  • But more grinding makes the game easier, because you'll have higher level characters, right? Or did they change the system for this game?

    Yeahs1
  • That's the 2nd hardest difficulty, the hardest one is Lunatic+.

  • @boris: how can that be more difficult then lunatic? @canayron: yes, in other FE games, nearly everyone had a LV20 limit. but in this game, you can LV up infinitely by using second seals.

  • Honestly, when I returned to Lunatic mode αfter playing Lunatic+ it felt like I was playing Normal mode. All enemies have 2 randomly picked Lunatic+ skills, the possibilities are: Counter, Pass, Luna+ (Luna with 100% activation rate), Hawkeye (the enemy has always 100% hit), Vantage+(enemy will always attack first), Pavise+ (100% Pavise) and Aegis+ (100% Aegis).

  • overall. does it make things a lot harder?

    Yeahs0
    Played
  • Yes, it changes the way you have to play too. You have got to be much more careful and think about turns much longer than normally. Bows are the single best thing ever in Lunatic+ for example.

  • isn`t there sometimes a small fragment of luck needed?

    Yeahs0

  • The skills at the start of the map get chosen randomly, that's true. However all skills have either a 0% or a 100% to activate, meaning that their isn't more RNG than usual as soon as the map starts. Many people say that it is luck based because they can't deal with the skills, they think that none of the enemies can have Counter because that'd be impossible. In reality ↓
