I'd have likely bought & would be playing my own copy allready, but my Wife has put an order out not to buy any more games till after Christmas (Black Flag doesnt count, its been preordered 4 months)

classic the original is. That being said: Hero Mode, the cool lighting effects (particulate effects as well), and the chance that now baddies can hurt your character even if your shield is up...all

Yeah BC is bigger than just a nice feature to have in my opinion. Pros? You can trade the old console if you don't want that many systems under the TV considering the data transfer possibility,

Those wires....... Those are everywhere! Yeah BC wasn't a necessity to me either, but it lets me play all great Wii titles so I'm happy that it is. I have GC though so it's all good.
A neat part of the Wii experience was waiting for neat new stuff on VC every week, and also combing my area's shops for used, sometimes obscure GC treasures! And that is something you lose w/o B.C.!
I missed out on GC and TG 16, so being able to dip into a past library was pretty fun! Neo Geo games were pretty bad, but I felt better for not paying crazy amounts for them originally, so that was ok

SNK put out a compilation disc for Wii.. and it was pretty bad overall! But those games looked SO cool back then! I do wish the Wii VC/WIIU interface was sreamlined a bit, folders, perhaps?

I would love to have all my VC purchases on display, but folders are a good compromise. Plus I'm a little OC about how I arrange my games. Does Ninja Gaiden arcade go with NG or arcade titles?
Do you use the off TV feature much? Some people think it's a godsend, others think it's a nice option. Some of my friends have roomates/siblings so TV time is hard to get sometimes.
Lets put it this way, I live together with my gf and we are both gamers, only having one TV at the moment, I love off-TV! Though she plays with the PC too so I have the TV too but at times it's great
